It looks like me neglecting to update and maintain this place for so many years has finally back-lashed on me. I had the pleasure with the October WordPress update to see the majority of my block design break down completely, just when I was about to release new photography posts. I tried to restore from previous versions but there was something weird with the database preventing things from getting back in right order.
Well, I was actually planning on redoing the structure of the website that had custom bits of code everywhere making updates really complicated. My solution was just to start again from scratch taking into account my previous mistakes to make something more efficient and easy to manage.
So the idea was to make it simple… but I then started to customize my CSS a bit, then a lot. I got rid of most plugins that I couldn’t remember why I even installed them and finally got to organize proper templates.
I think it looks good now, I fixed the most recent posts and will get to update the old ones whenever I have time. Hopefully this time I’ll get it done, not like when I announced it with my v2 update.
I’m also taking this opportunity to update all texts, links and descriptions in posts as well as comments adding new info and details and getting rid of outdated stuff.
I made a new Newsletter that you can subscribe to (even though it doesn’t mean I will be posting more often) that I manage myself on my server (no external feed). You can also catch me on @NostroFr where I post whenever I have something to share (not often).
